Since the firm's establishment, it has been actively associated with major international consultants and contractors in major projects in Nepal and abroad. Our company retains resources of engineers (civil, electrical, mechanical), overseers (civil, electrical, mechanical), electricians, mechanics, riggers, etc. The firm has gained considerable experience from several construction projects such as the MARSYANGDI HYDROELECTRIC PROJECT which had been loan financed by the International Development Agency, the soft loan window of the World Bank, the MALEKHU-MUGLING ROAD REHABILITATION PROJECT , under grant aid from the overseas development Administration of the United Kingdom, the UDAYPUR CEMENT PROJECT , under loan financing from the Overseas Economic Cooperation Fund of Japan, the RADIO NEPAL MW EXPANSION PROJECT which had been financed by the government of Japan etc. An illustration of the firm's undertaking on behalf of the prime contractor, consultants has been attached in this profile for the attention of our prospective clients.

 

 

The firm's clients, as had been stated, are some of the major contracting and consulting houses of the United Kingdom and Japan etc. To cite an example, the firm's client's, Toshiba Corporation of Japan is a major multi-national electrical manufacturer with a gross annual sale of US$ 40 billion equivalent, and similarly Taisei Corporation, the prime contractor for Lot 1.2 (see appendix for the clients attestments) happens to be one of the major contracting house of Japan with an annual gross contract value of US$ 16 billion. The 13 km section of the Seikan Tunnel, which links the island of Honshu and Hokkaido and extends 59 km had been constructed by the said Taisei Corporation. The project was a major civil engineering works which took 26 years for completion.

As might be known, the Marsyangdi Hydroelectric Project is major civil engineering works for Nepal and headrace tunnel with a finished diameter of 6.5 metre extends 7 KM.

Development Engineering Consultants had supplied staff as per requirement to the prime contractor Joint Venture Taisei Corporation of Japan – CWE (People's Republic of China) and main composition of the skilled manpower had been civil engineers (tunnel concrete control), overseers (surveyor) for profile survey, curve setting, electricians for illumination inside the adit and headrace tunnel, sub-station erection, mechanics (welder and several heavy vehicle mechanics), riggers (surge shaft) etc.

All of the staff, permanent as well as seasonal, are currently on standby duty with our firm and they could be mobilized on 10 to 14 days of advance notice.

Particular mention may be made here that DEC is fully geared to manage effectively all personnel and derive from it's staff.
